For canes, think of making a compact, pattern-filled log. I choose different clay colors, stack them into layers, and roll them into a log. Gently manipulate the log for size and pattern, and each slice reveals a captivating design. Sometimes it’s a specific design like an orange slice or plaid, and sometimes I just layer and twist colours around then reveal the wonderfully random design that pops out!

Then there are slabs, a vital part of my artistic expression. I pick colors, layer the clays, and roll them into a flat sheet. This sheet becomes my creative canvas – folding, rolling, or twisting for added flair. Then I cut out shapes, bake, and add a few other finishing touches before pairing with shiny jewelry hardware.
